Putting things Back Together Again

It took a few months to get things all situated with the house after the flood. But we did get back in before the Holidays, and finally had furniture to sit on etc. by Christmas so that was a bonus.

That time of year is so busy and dealing with the house and working just made things extra crazy.

But of course there is always a bright side. We have beautiful new floors that I am totally in love with. I didn't think we would find anything I loved as much as the floors we put in originally.

Crafting on the go!

So a few days ago, I came home to a flood in our house. Apparently the water district had been out and when they turned the water back on it caused my neighbors pipe to burst. So now my townhouse is loaded with dehumidifiers. We just could not take the heat and the odor so we had to pack up and move to a hotel for at least a few days as they test and come up with the repair plan.
Last year I purchased this little art tray from H-Mart and I used it a few times. Well it really came in handy when packing a few things so I can get some creative time in at the hotel room.

A few target crafty finds!

So this happened over the weekend! Most of these items came from the target dollar slot. But when I saw some pens I been eyeing for a while on sale plus coupon and five dollars back. I had to grab those too :)

I can't wait to try them out!

Son's Homemade Smashbook

As much as I love to Smash I think I enjoy creating my own Smashbooks out of Notebooks or Books even more. It adds a unquieness to the book that I love and little more creative freedom.

I thought is was important that in a book dedicated to my son that his name get its own page.
Nasser has one of the most special names. His Dad and I want to really make it strong and reprisent his  Heritage.

URIAS is his Hebrew Name his family are descendants from Ethiopian (black) Jews.
Nasser is Arabic to represent the union between his Grandparents as his Grandfather is Muslim.
The love of his grandparents goes beyond religion and they found a way to find peace in there love, something Muslims and Jews have been working on for thousands of years.

Recollection Alpha Stickers, Washi Tape, Brad
Magic Scraps Bits
Ranker Tim Holtz for the black dots.

There is a page before this I made of his Dad (now deceased) holding him. It was at the hospital when he was born.

This is me and his big sister holding him when he came home. He was such a love bug!
Blue Hearts are Provo Craft
Sweet Dreams Label is Making Memories
Moon n Stars is
His first professional photo! They set an appointment for these before you leave those hospital. I always thought they did them there, but nope they come to your house. It was kind of trick to get this shot.
Nasser is almost 12 now and I keep that very special bear in a keepsake box!
Bear Pins, Bib n Bottle are from Jolee's
Papers are old single sheets from.
So this is what I got done yesterday. I added paint on the next page, and had to wait for it to dry.
Note to self, no paint until you are ready to move that project aside. LOL I had alot of mojo flowing then i had to stop to wait for paint to dry and then I never got back into te craft room. :P
