December Daily Base Pages

For the first Time ever I am ahead of the GAME! I decided to do a December Daily.
I am so dedicated to getting it done. With all the Events in Life right now, I really need to have my creative time. So this will make sure I dedicate at least 15minutes a day to journaling or creating.
All My Base Pages are Done.
I used an assortment of My Mind Eye Christmas Paper ( I think I own them all LMAO)
The Cover however is some left over stuff I had from Who KNows where.
On the cover I used a paper bag I got last year at Target to make the Tree (also used to make pockets for the Inside)
I used some Little Deb? (was that the brand) Clay words I still had and Metals.
I am very glad to be using stuff from my stash....

So recently I decided to get into this whole Smash or Journal thing.
I fell in love. At first I was thinking I would just record things as I take pictures, so I have notes and little things I save all in one place for when I scrap later.

Then I started making mini layouts on pages, adding stuff and most importantly getting things DONE. Like I was doing it and it was easy, I didn't have to say ok I am going to make a page now. Nope it just happend and became routine and easy. I was enjoying crafting again. I was slowly finding JOY again.

2012 has been a very hard year. In Sept I lost my dad, followed by a motorcycle accident my orther was in (broken leg only thank god), than a week after the service my mom had a TIA (mini stroke)  and the story continues on like that. Thanks to all my good friends and family hleping me get through this all.

Most importantly thanks to my long time friend I met online (in person once) Chris P who always encourages me, picks up my slack when I am just not bring a good friend, loves me as I am. And kicks my butt to stay putting time aside to craft or just enjoy some creative me time. And for suggesting smashbooking/journaling or whatever it was u said that made me pick up that dam book and alter it and get started.

Shinhan Markers Playtime

So The Coloring with Markers and Copics thing has been all the Rave for a while. And every time I saw some wonderful color I kept thinking of My 16yr old will enjoy those. She loves to draw and often steals my markers, color pencils, chalks, pastels, or anything she can smuggle out of Mommies stash. Owning a Large Collection of CTMH and SU Markers already I just couldn't Justify getting more Markers. Then a really awesome sale came along.... So I order some Markers and here are my first 3 Color Creations. These are Digi Stamp Images from

Ok so sometime I can be very bad at following a sketch. LOL this is fine, when they are used for inspiration, but when your trying to enter a challenge. Not so Good when your layout looks nothing like the sketch. LOL

SO here is my Layout . This is my youngest and his BFF at School this year. The Teacher gave him this picture on the last day of school and it had been floating around the house. So when I discovered it a little crumpled this morning, I decided to Scrap it before it got damaged. Shh don't tell him. LOL

Here is the Sketch that my layout was suppose to look like. I know it has tiny similarities but not sure if i pulled this one off enough to actually enter it into the challenge. But At least it got me inspired and I got a layout completed. YEAH! My Bother Inspiration was the RWB challenge at Funtoolas I talked about them yesterday. The layouts being put out over there are amazing. And looks like they have some really awesome kits. I need to use more stash, So I can have some cash to go spend. :). July Sketch Challenge.

Wabbits

So while browsing some blogs I came across this new Forum/Site Funtoolas and these Ladies have some Gorgeous Layouts and some pretty cool challenges. Mostly I do challenges on Blogs when I do them. But I had to jump in here as I was so inspired. One of the Challenges was to Bling it out. Some of the ladies had already entered layouts which I was happy to see, as they made me look outside the box. It was so much fun to add bling and glitter to this Pumpkin Path/Fall Layout. Usually I don't add much to my boys layouts. But I really stretched myself, and pulled out the first set of photos I had. And said your scrapping these make it work. And I am so glad I did. I Luv how this Layout Came out.I had already printed the Frosted Design Sketch for the Week, So I incorporated that into the Layout.
